Add a friend’s photo and it becomes the two-person version. Your friend must agree to it.

An AI zombie trend video is a short clip made by an AI video model from ordinary photos: in the two-person version one person has turned into a zombie and the other hugs them instead of running; with one photo, the person or pet turns into a zombie.
The AI zombie trend is a run of short AI videos that spread on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts in October 2026, in the weeks before Halloween. The best-known version is a two-person story: one person has turned into a zombie, the other lowers their guard instead of running away, and the clip ends in a hug, often followed by a warm memory of the two of them.
This page makes that hug in one 5-second shot. Add your photo and a second one of a friend or partner who agreed: the person in the first photo is the one who turned. With a single photo you get the solo version, in which the person or pet turns into a zombie. Our clips are shorter than the 10 to 15 second originals and do not add the memory scene.
The video is made by MiniMax Hailuo H3, a video model we run through fal.ai. You do not write a prompt. The effect describes the shot second by second, and the model applies it to your photos.
Add a clear photo of yourself. For the zombie hug, add a second photo of a friend or partner who agreed; with one photo you get the solo transformation. JPEG, PNG or WebP, at least 400 pixels on the short side.
Agree to the photo rules and press the button. The model usually takes 15 to 60 seconds.
Play the 5-second clip with sound and download the MP4. A copy is also saved in your browser.
When you post a video made here, say that it was made with AI. TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube each have rules for labeling AI-generated videos. The photo rules say which photos you may upload.

It is a run of short AI videos, mostly on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, posted in October 2026 ahead of Halloween. The best-known version shows two people: one has turned into a zombie, the other lowers their guard instead of running, and they hug.
Add your photo, then a second photo of the other person. The person in the first photo becomes the zombie and the person in the second photo hugs them. Both people must have agreed to take part.
It is the same idea in a shorter form: one 5-second shot that ends in the hug, without the cut to a memory scene that some longer versions add.
The prompt asks for no blood, no gore and no weapons. The zombie has grey-green skin, dark veins and milky white eyes, so the clip is spooky rather than graphic.
The video starts from your photo, so the first moment is you. As the change spreads, the model often replaces much of the face with a generic zombie face, and the person can become hard to recognize. A clear, front-facing photo keeps the most likeness.
Add one clear photo of yourself, and a second photo of a friend for the two-person version (with one photo you can also choose a pet), agree to the photo rules and press the button. The video model needs 15 to 60 seconds. Then play the 5-second clip and download the MP4. You do not write a prompt or install an app.
One video a day is free, with no sign-up. After that, 1 video is $4.99 and 5 videos are $14.99 ($3.00 a video), paid once. See pricing.
No. Packs are one-time payments and nothing renews. There is no account either: after paying you get a wallet code that holds your videos. Videos you buy can be used on any effect for 12 months.
Yes. One video a day is free for each visitor, without sign-up or watermark. If a free video cannot be made because of a problem on our side, the free try is given back.
Yes. Use one photo and choose "A pet" before you start; the effect then uses a version of the prompt written for animals. A clear photo with the whole head visible works best.
Usually 15 to 60 seconds, sometimes longer when the model is busy. Keep the page open; if you close it, the video still finishes and appears when you come back to this page in the same browser.
Your photo goes to fal.ai, which runs the video model. fal deletes the uploaded photo after about 1 hour and the finished video after about 7 days. We do not keep your photo or video on our servers, never show them publicly, and do not use them to train AI models. The finished video is saved in your browser so you can download it again (the last 10, for 30 days). See the privacy policy.
You are not charged. The video model runs its own safety check and may turn a photo down, for example one with nudity or violence. If that happens, or if the video cannot be made, the credit goes straight back to your wallet. A free video turned down by the model counts as your free video for that day.
Photos of anyone under 18, of celebrities or other public figures, of people who did not agree (including the person in a second photo), and photos with nudity or violence. Face swaps and fake footage are not allowed. Each photo must be at least 400 pixels on its short side. See the acceptable use policy.
