1. Who we are

AI Effect Video (aieffectvideo.com) is run by Zehong Liu, an independent developer. You can reach us at support@aieffectvideo.com.

2. The service

AI Effect Video turns one photo into a short video with an AI video model, using an effect you choose (for example a zombie transformation or a dance). One video a day is free per visitor. Free videos may be paused on days of very high demand; packs keep working.

Videos are made by an AI model and are not checked by a person. Every video is different, even from the same photo. The people or pets in it may not look exactly like the photo, faces can change during the video, and hands, bodies and backgrounds can come out distorted. The effect pages show examples, not a promise of the same result. The video model runs its own safety check and can reject a photo; in that case, nothing is charged.

Effects are named after trends people search for. AI Effect Video is independent and not affiliated with any artist, app, platform or show a trend is named after, and an effect is our own version of the idea, not the original.

3. Your photos and the videos

You keep whatever rights you have in your photos. You give us permission to process each photo only to make the video you asked for, which includes sending it to the company that runs the video model, as the privacy policy describes. We claim no rights in the videos made for you. You may use them as the law allows; note that in many countries a video made by AI may not be protected by copyright.

You are responsible for what you upload and for how you use the videos. The acceptable use policy is part of these terms. In short:

• Upload only photos you took or have the right to use, of yourself, of people who agreed to it, or of your own pet. If you add a second photo, the person in it must have agreed too.
• Do not upload photos of anyone under 18.
• Do not upload photos of celebrities, politicians or other public figures, or of any real person who has not agreed.
• Do not upload photos with nudity, sexual content, violence, weapons aimed at people, or hateful symbols.
• Do not use the service to swap faces, to impersonate someone, or to make a video meant to pass as real footage of a real event.

When you share a video, make clear that it was made with AI, and follow the rules of the platform you post it on. We may block access that breaks these rules and report illegal content to the authorities.

4. Video packs

A pack is a one-time digital purchase of video credits. The price and the number of videos are shown before you pay. Each effect page says how many credits one video uses (one, unless the page says otherwise). The credits are set aside when a video starts and used only when the video is delivered: a video that fails, times out or is rejected by the model returns its credits to your wallet. There is no subscription: nothing renews.

Videos from a pack can be used for 12 months from the date you bought it. Each purchase has its own date, shown under “Your videos”. Videos are always taken from your oldest purchase first. Videos still unused after 12 months expire and are not refunded, except as described in the refund policy. If we close the service, we will announce it on this site at least 30 days before, and refund the unused videos of any purchase that has not expired to the original payment method; if that is no longer possible, we will contact you at the email address on your order to arrange another way.

Delivery is immediate: the videos are added to your wallet code as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Your videos are held on a wallet code, not in an account. Keep the code private: anyone who has it can use the videos on it, and we cannot tell who is using it. We are not responsible for videos used by someone who had your code. If you lose the code, you can recover it with the email address and order number from your Waffo receipt. If you think someone else has your code, write to us from the email address you paid with and we will help. Videos already made cannot be restored to the wallet.

Video credits can be used only on this site. They have no cash value, can be turned back into money only through a refund under the refund policy, and may not be sold or offered as a gift card.

You must be 18 or older to buy a pack; Waffo’s buyer terms require this.

5. Payment and merchant of record

Packs are sold to you by Waffo Pancake, a service of Waffo.com Limited, a company in Hong Kong (“Waffo”). Waffo is the merchant of record: it buys the right to resell each pack from us and sells it to you, runs the checkout, takes the payment, works out and pays any sales tax or VAT that applies, and issues your receipt. Your receipt names the Waffo company that sold to you, and the charge appears on your card statement under a name that starts with WAFFO. Waffo’s own buyer terms and privacy policy apply to the payment. Everything else about the service and your videos comes from us.

6. Refunds

Unused videos are refunded within 14 days of purchase, for any reason, as described in the refund policy. When a purchase is refunded, its unused videos are removed from your wallet code.

In the EU and the UK, you have a legal right to cancel a purchase within 14 days. When you buy a pack, you ask us to make the videos available at once, so that you can start using them during those 14 days. If you cancel within the 14 days, you get back the price of the videos you have not used and pay only for the videos you made. Our 14-day refund of unused videos gives you this, for any reason.

7. Fair use

Do not try to get around the free limit or the payment system, send automated requests that put unusual load on the service, or upload content that breaks the acceptable use policy or the law. We may block access that does these things. If we block a wallet code, we refund its unused videos, unless they were bought with a card that was not yours or through other fraud, or the code was used to break the acceptable use policy.

8. Liability

If the service does not work as described and we cannot fix it, you can receive a refund under the refund policy. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for packs in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Purchases are governed by the terms in force when you bought the pack.
